This year, Stuarts' sponsorship is supporting CCMI's Coral Reef Restoration Project and Conservation Education Project. The restoration project includes undertaking studies to further explore what makes coral reefs resilient and how CCMI can implement that in their coral nurseries. Last year, Stuarts sponsored and supported CCMI's restoration efforts where they found that there are specific genotypes of coral reefs that are more adaptable to disease outbreaks and high temperatures. They will continue to review and test their discoveries. CCMI's Conservation Education Project includes improving ocean literacy for students in the Cayman Islands and around the world through lessons, outreach, hands-on experience and internship programmes.
Marine conservation is a cause that Stuarts Walker Hersant Humphries holds dear. Stuarts has supported the CCMI for over 15 years. We are very pleased to donate to CCMI's initiatives and sponsor their annual events and projects. We believe that it is very important to support organisations like CCMI in their efforts to protect and preserve coral reefs and marine life.
