Cayman Islands Government Filing Deadlines

Q1 2020 government filing deadlines for Economic Substance and Securities.

Economic Substance Notifications – Economic Substance Notifications were due to be filed via the General Registry on or before 31 January 2020. Such filing was a prerequisite to filing an Annual Return that was due by 31 March 2020.

Securities Investment Business Act ("SIBA") Deadline - Persons which carry on securities investment business but were registered as excluded from SIBA’s licensing requirements under Schedule 4 (“Excluded Persons”) and which desired to continue conducting securities and investment business in the Cayman Islands, were to re-register as “Registered Persons” with the Authority by 15 January 2020.
