Stuarts Humphries' Head of Local Business, Buck Grizzel was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Cayman Islands Immigration Appeals Tribunal on September 19, 2014.
The Immigration Appeals Tribunal oversees all appeals related to disputed work permit, right to be Caymanian, asylum and permanent residency applications.
Mr Grizzel replaced the previous long-serving chair Ms Sonia Harris. As head of Stuarts' Local Business Department, Mr Grizzel has over 12 years of experience in advising on Cayman Islands law. He specializes in company formation, including ordinary, exempted and special economic zone company registrations and local licensing and real estate matters. At the firm, Mr Grizzel has also acted in many immigration law, pension, and labour related issues.
