Stephen has been practising law in the Cayman Islands since his arrival in 1993. He specialises in general corporate and commercial law, trust and partnership matters and real estate law. Stephen's practice also includes shipping law, immigration and licensing law, probate and administration, structured finance transaction law and aircraft leasing.

Before coming to the Islands, Stephen was an assistant at Rowe & Maw in London from 1990 to 1993 and an assistant at Simmons & Simmons also in London from 1987 to 1990.

Stephen graduated from Worcester College, Oxford where he obtained a B.A.(Hons.) in Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1986 and as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in 1993.
