William S Walker the founder of the Firm was considered to be a pioneer of the offshore industry in the Cayman Islands. He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University in 1948. In 1963 he established WS Walker & Company (now Walkers). In recognition of his services to the International Financial Industry of the Cayman Islands, he was appointed by Her Majesty the Queen as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1978.
