Chris joined Stuarts in 2004 from Kendall Freeman (formerly DJ Freeman) a leading specialist insurance practice in London, where he specialised in non contentious insurance and regulatory related matters. Chris is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales as well as being admitted as a Cayman Islands attorney-at-law.

Chris is a member of the specialist investment funds team at Stuarts and has registered over 50 mutual funds with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and regularly advises on regulatory and compliance issues involving investment managers, funds and fund administrators.

Chris advises on a wide spectrum of insurance related matters including captives, alternative risk transfer, segregated portfolio companies, insurance and reinsurance policy wording, financial services issues and a substantial number of finite risk insurance arrangements. He has significant experience in the financing of Lloyd’s entities and the regulation of insurance business.

Chris also has a broad experience on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions for private and listed clients, including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, corporate finance, commercial agreements, insurance securitizations and listing on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
